Events and pricing
Every date on one timeline.
Events, venues, sessions and tickets in one structure. Every edit asks one question: this date, selected dates, or the whole series.

The problem
Changing a price or adding a date means editing the same thing in several places, and finding out later which ones were missed.
What we built
One timeline for the whole series, edits with a scope you choose, and stock that is reserved the instant it goes in a cart.
What is actually in it.
Setting events up
A clear structure, from drafts and templates.
- Event, location, venue, session, then ticket types and add-ons
- One-off events, or a series by weekdays, range or picked dates
- New events start as drafts, with checks before anything goes live
- A checked draft becomes a reusable template
- Copy an existing event into a draft, choosing how much
- Venues, sessions and tickets can be added after it is on sale
The event timeline
The structure down the left, every date across the top.
- Cells shaded by sales, with days and season views
- A one-word status per row: staged, unreleased, sold out, cancelled
- Opens instantly from a snapshot, then refreshes and shows live as of
- Click any row or date for full detail in a side drawer
- Add tickets, add products and clone straight from the timeline
- Every selection has its own shareable link
Editing with a scope
Every edit asks one question before it saves.
- This date only, selected dates, or the whole series
- One save dialog shows the scope, the dates and any warnings
- Only fields that changed are saved, so customisations stay
- A banner warns when a session change flows down to its tickets
- Large series-wide changes run in the background with progress
- A change history for prices and fees
Pricing and sales windows
Prices including GST, with a preview before you save.
- Price changes for one date, selected dates or the whole series
- A preview shows what a change will affect before saving
- Booking fees and card fees as a percentage, an amount, or both
- Before a fee change saves, staff see which events it affects
- Sale windows in plain words, applied to many items at once
- Public and school holidays sync monthly for holiday pricing
Capacity and live stock
Two buyers can never get the last place.
- Reserved the instant it is added, in one all-or-nothing step
- Session capacity and each ticket type’s quota checked together
- Capacity counts people, so a family ticket uses four places
- Online, box office, vouchers, memberships and AI use the same check
- Abandoned carts and refunds hand stock back automatically
- Sold, attending, available and held-in-carts, with a capacity bar
Events and pricing questions
If we change a price, what else changes?
Only what you choose. Every edit asks whether it applies to this date, selected dates or the whole series, and one dialog shows the dates affected before it saves.
Can two people buy the last ticket?
No. A ticket is reserved the instant it is added to a cart, in one all-or-nothing step, and session capacity and the ticket type’s quota are checked together.
Does a family ticket count as one place?
No. Capacity counts people, so a family ticket that admits four uses four places.
Can we reuse last year’s setup?
Yes. A checked draft can become a reusable template, and you can copy an existing event into a new draft, choosing how much to copy.
Do tickets already sold change price?
No. Tickets already sold keep their price, and past days are never changed.
